Putin & Medvedev urge action on Russia’s future

Vladimir Putin and his successor as President, Dmitry Medvedev, have urged senior lawmakers to urgently draft laws that secure Russia’s development up to 2020. The pair met the speaker of the State Duma, Boris Gryzlov, his deputies and leaders of the part

The gathering focused on the president's proposals for the development of Russia until 2020, set out at the State Council meeting. Putin urged the MPs to start working on laws to secure the long-term development plan.  Meanwhile, Medvedev said he is hoping for constructive dialogue with the State Duma parties, and, as a president, will hold such meetings on regular basis.
