One of the most prestigious awards in the field of public relations organised by PR Week, the international publishing house, has been held in New York. Among award winners is Russian organising committee of the St. Petersburg G8 summit.
The PR industries equivalent of an Oscar for the Global Campaign of the Year was given to the Russian organizing committee of the St. Petersburg G8 summit and the American Ketchum for image-making.According to PR Week magazine, “the winners managed to open the doors to the world during the Russian chairmanship of the G8 summit 2006”.Russia's image abroad was also greatly improved with positive press coverage of the event.
