Poland ready for further AMD talks

Poland says it will continue negotiations with Washington to allow the U.S. to build anti-missile defence (AMD) bases on its territory. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorsky made the statement after talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Wa

It follows Warsaw's rejection of the latest offer from the US. The system in Poland is to be linked to a radar-tracking facility in the Czech Republic, where Rice is due to arrive on Tuesday to sign the missile deal. The project is strongly opposed by Russia who sees the deployment as a threat to its security.
