Pigs may not be able to fly, but they sure can run. At least this is what the organizers of the International Pig Race in Moscow think.

The 8th annual pig race has kicked off in Moscow this Saturday. It is the first time the competition has been made international, attracting porkers from six countries, including Egypt and Belarus.

Contestants have trained long and hard, eating healthy and doing practice runs for a year.

The semifinals are being held on Saturday, with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
