The moon partially covered the sun shadowing the bright sunlight and then the city fell into darkness for more than 2 minutes.  Thousands of people left their homes and offices to get a glimpse of the phenomenon.The area saw a partial eclipse last March and there will be another one in August next year. But then scientists say it will be three generations – almost 200 years – before the region will see one again.
