Seven people who were critically injured in Tskhinvali have been flown to Moscow for urgent treatment. Ambulances met them at the Ramenskoe air base, south of the capital and took them to hospital.
Among them, a woman who received severe burns to 40 per cent of her body. Others are to be treated for burns and gunshot wounds. On Wednesday, more of the injured will be airlifted to hospital in Moscow.
