The head of a delegation from the International Olympic Committee says Russia is doing a 'great job' in preparing for the winter Olympics in 2014.

The IOC's executive director Gilbert Felli made the comments after meeting with Russian Olympic officials in Moscow on Tuesday. The head of the Sochi bid, Dmitry Chernyshenko, said a plan of action had been agreed for the coming year. “The IOC spent almost two days in Russia. We discussed all aspects of planning for an effective Olympics. The IOC representatives highly value our readiness for constructive dialogue. We need to use the IOC experience and adapt it. As a result of this meeting we have adopted the so called ”plan of activity“ that would determine our steps throughout the coming year,” commented Dmitry Chernyshenko, the head of Russian Olympic bid Committee.
