There are reports of a potential agreement to end the deadlock on the stalled deal to stop North Korea's nuclear programme. Pyongyang says it will allow U.N. inspectors into the country immediately if $US 25 MLN of funds are released.
Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan met Washington's two envoys in Pyongyang ahead of this Saturday's deal deadline. Under the terms of February's six-party agreement, North Korea will be given money and aid in return for dismantling its nuclear programme.
