Russia may demand a new excavation of the former site of the controversial Soviet Soldier memorial in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, to identify the exact number of soldiers buried there, according to the spokesman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, Mikhail K

Russia has sent a request to Estonia to provide all materials of the recent excavation, including video evidence, as the remains of one soldier were reportedly not found. The Estonian Defence Ministry has ruled out the possibility of finding more remains. The Ministry's spokesman said there must have been confusion at the time of burial due to the war. The monument was dismantled in late April and moved to a military cemetery in the suburbs of the Estonian capital. This caused mass riots in Tallinn and some other Estonian cities.
