Controversial NATO-led military exercises in Georgia are nearing completion.

The exercises have been taking place close to South Ossetia, where Russian troops are stationed.

Around 700 soldiers from 14 countries have taken part in the maneuvers.

Moscow has condemned them, calling the exercises a 'provocation', but the alliance has denied they are aimed against Russia.

Georgia attacked the republic last August prompting Moscow to send in troops to fend off the assault.
