Four people, including one child, have been killed and six others hospitalised after 45 vehicles, both cars and trucks, collided on the Moscow-Don motorway.
The incident happened at 0800 local time (0400 GMT) and is believed to have been caused by smoke and thick fog. Officials are urging drivers to use by-ways, as the crashed vehicles have not yet been cleared away.
