Moscow's Preobrazhensky Court has returned appeals for parole submitted by Former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev to their lawyers.

"The appeals have been returned to the lawyers because some necessary documents were not attached to them," court spokeswoman Lolita Darchiyeva told Itar-Tass on Monday. Khodorkovsky submitted his request through the prison administration on May 27. He wrote that the charges brought against him provided for release on parole after half of the term has been served. Khodorkovsky is currently in prison for stealing tens of millions of dollars worth of oil and laundering the proceeds. The court says it is ready to consider the plea after Khodorkovsky completes work on the necessary papers.
