Another semi-final slot has been filled in the KHL. Lokomotiv joined Dynamo Moscow in the final four of the inaugural competition following a come-from-behind win at Spartak Moscow.

Josef Vasichek was the hero of the night for the Yaroslavel outfit. His strike, three minutes from the buzzer, edged Loko past a gallant Spartak side 5-4 and 3-0 in games.

Meanwhile, Ak Bars – Avangard series will need a deciding 5th game after the Kazan side destroyed the Hawks on their own arena by a whopping 10 goals.

11-1 was the final score with Ak Bars firing home half a dozen times without reply in the opening period.

Also, European finalists Metallurg Magnitogorsk took the initiative against Atlant. 3-0 was the final score to allow Metallurg to go 2-1 up in the tie, overall.
