Latest reports say a tsunami killed at least 262 people in Indonesia. It crashed into beach resorts and fishing villages on Indonesia's Java island on Monday.

The wave was triggered by an undersea earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 striking Indonesia's southern coast. Waves up to 1.5 metres high hit Pangandaran beach without warning, destroying buildings and fishing boats. Rescue teams are still searching wreckage for survivors. Officials said around 23,000 people had fled their homes.
