Israeli PM Ehud Olmert is resisting calls for his resignation as protesters prepare to rally against him in Tel Aviv. They want Mr Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz to step down over their handling of last year's war with Hezbollah.

An independent report, commissioned by Mr Olmert, has found he hastily led the country into the war.Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni also urged Olmert to resign, saying she would challenge him for the leadership of the ruling Kadima party unless he stands down.
