Indonesian fire claims seven lives

An Indonesian ferry carrying 350 passengers has caught fire in the Java Sea while on its way from Jakarta to Bangka Island. The fire killed seven people before it could be put out. Two children are among those killed.

The Indonesian navy have rescued over 200 passengers. The fate of the other passengers and the crew is unknown.The cause of the fire is not yet known.
