Indonesian Rescue services have continued to retrieve the flight data recorders from a Boeing 737, which crashed into the Java Sea on New Year's day with 102 people on board.

Signals from the flight recorders have been traced to a depth of over 1.5 kilometers, but Indonesia doesn't have the equipment to retrieve them. The country's officials have asked for international help to recover the recorders as the 30 day battery life will soon expire and the signal will be lost.Experts say its crucial to aviation safety to find out the cause of the crash.
