Viktor Korzh says it’s regrettable that most of the country’s education and science professionals are unaware of both the principles of health care and the documents regulating anti-doping activities. “It is absolute unawareness of Ukraine’s international obligations and the rules of the Olympic movement, enshrined by international – and Ukraine’s – laws,” Viktor Korzh exclaims. Ukraine’s Anti-doping Centre chief, Ivan Kurlishchuk, has described the publication, ‘Sport medicine and physical rehabilitation’ as an “anti-book”. “What were the authors guided with writing that manual?” Kurlishchuk asked. “Sportsmen are the first to bear the blame for a positive dope test because this is a law violation. There is the World Anti-Doping Code ratified by Ukraine President’s order!” It’s rumoured the book was a “sad mistake”. The professor behind its publication refused to answer journalists’ questions.
