The President of Russia's southern republic of Ingushetia has dissolved the regional government on Wednesday. Murat Zyazikov said a new government should be more ambitious, aiming at reforms in the economic and social sectors.

In recent months the situation was disturbing in the region, with number of cases of street violence and opposition protests. The move by President Zyazikov could be seen as an attempt to stabilise the situation.
