Gori not badly damaged – UN aid convoy

A United Nations aid convoy, entering the Georgian town of Gori, says the buildings there do not appear to be badly damaged.

Earlier, Moscow denied reports Russia’s military assaulted the town. They confirmed Russian troops were maintaining positions around Gori, but insisted this was only to prevent looting and arms smuggling.  The military also says it's lifted a blockade of the town, allowing relief supplies to reach refugees.
