A fire has destroyed a disused warehouse in East London. The blaze started near the site of the venues of the 2012 Olympic Games, which are to be held in the UK capital.

The area is being cleared to make way for facilities for the Games. More than 70 fire fighters worked to extinguish the blaze near the site of the London 2012 Olympics. No one was hurt but the fire produced a thick cloud of smoke that rose hundreds of metres into the air. Police say they don't know how the fire started but have ruled out terrorist activity.
