Famous Russian actor dies in Moscow

One of Russia's leading actors Mikhail Ulyanov has died in Moscow at the age of 80 after a long illness. Ulyanov was mainly popular for his portrayal of Lenin and the Marshal of the Soviet Army in World War Two, Georgy Zhukov.

A winner of numerous theatre and cinema awards, Ulyanov was not only an actor, but also a stage director, head of Moscow Vakhtangov theatre, and a famous public figure in the country.
