In the near future, Europe and the US are unlikely to proceed far with a new security treaty proposed by Dmitry Medvedev, said Viktoria Panova of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

“The Europeans and American are ready to talk, they are ready to have a process of discussion, but they keep saying that we have enough of treaties, we have enough legally binding documents, let’s stick to them and let’s fulfill them first,” Panova said.
