Relations between Moscow and Tallinn are already strained, but now the Vice Speaker in Estonia's Parliament, Kristiina Ojuland, has demanded Russian TV channels be stopped from broadcasting in the country.
During a discussion on ethnic minorities at the Estonian Parliament, Ms Ojuland called Russian television xenophobic.She said EU member states should not allow foreign TV-channels to broadcast programmes full of hatred that are aimed at sparking antagonism. Ms Ojuland defended accusations of censorship by saying it's about stopping unfriendly behaviour.Meanwhile, other politicians have also expressed concern that Estonian cable networks are broadcasting Russian TV programmes.
