The Itar-Tass news agency says the documents went missing two years ago, citing the head of the institute’s research department, Dariusz Gabrel. It was then they were stored in the President’s office, and it took some time to find out the documents were lost. Gabrel had to explain the documents' embarrassing disappearance to the Polish Parliament.
