Several dozen people have been killed in a series of terror attacks as violence continues to ravage Iraq. A truck bomb exploded at an outdoor market in the northern town of Tuz Khurmatu, killing 30 and wounding 90, police said.

Residents of the village said victims remained trapped under destroyed houses and shops. In another terror attack on Saturday, a suicide car bomber killed six people including five Iraqi soldiers when he drove into a military checkpoint in eastern Baghdad. The attack also wounded 24 people, including 18 soldiers.
