According to Russia's Central Election Commission, most of the complaints by the Communist Party regarding violations during the recent presidential election were justified – but wouldn't have changed the outcome of the vote.
The party, headed by presidential candidate Gennady Zyuganov, filed more than 200 complaints. The Election Commission revealed that almost half of them were legitimate. However, most of Zyuganov’s claims about ballots being rigged and people being forced to vote were dismissed. The Election Commission reported there'd been only minor violations.
