Americans consume 400-million cups of coffee per day, making the US the leading consumer of coffee in the world. But is this love too dangerous?

According to medical experts, the daily intake of caffeine should not exceed 300 milligrams, or 15 ounces, of coffee. One large cup of Starbucks exceeds an entire day’s worth. However, many Americans are far from restricting themselves to just one cup.Nutritionists are concerned that caffeine over-consumption jeopardizes the health of many Americans. Some believe that the drive for caffeine is created by food corporations, eager to get people addicted to their products.  RT’s Marina Portnaya investigates.
