Two children and their father were seriously injured when a bouncy castle they were playing in was blown away in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan.

Wind sent the castle ten metres up into the air and two young sisters only escaped after it landed back on the ground. The younger received a head injury, while her elder sister suffered concussion and fractures. Their father was also badly hurt while trying to stop the bouncy castle getting away. According to the preliminary information, the bouncy castle was not properly fastened. “The construction has fifteen places for fixing it to the ground, but it was held to the ground only by the three pumps used to inflate it,” said local official Eduard Abdullin. The accident happened in Russia's second largest aqua park, in the city of Kazan.
