“Stalin was a symbol. For decades he always put his name into the middle of all the successes. But real victory was won by the people,” Genrikh Borovik, a prominent journalist, told RT.

“The key elements were certainly the belief of the people in their own state, their own course of socialism and plenty of other pre-war achievements, which gave the people an understanding that the country was on the right path and that we were very strong,” the journalist points out.

What is more, Stalin is responsible for many losses in the WWII.

“First of all, he was to blame that the country was not prepared for the war”, says Genrikh Borovik.
