A Russian student found guilty of circulating a neo-Nazi video on the Internet has been sentenced to one year's hard labour.
The 24-year-old, who was detained in August, admitted posting the video, which he claims he received in an e-mail. A court in the Republic of Adygeya in southern Russian convicted him of inciting racial, religious and national hatred. The video showed the apparent murder of a Tajik and a Dagestani by Russian neo-Nazis. The violent scenes circulated on the web for 18 hours. Investigators have yet to verify if the video is genuine.
