One person has been killed and twelve wounded in an attack on a police vehicle in the capital of Russia’s Chechen republic.

On the outskirts of the Chechen capital a police vehicle parked near a bus stop reportedly came under attack from a RPG-18 rocket launcher, though the rocket didn’t hit the car. However, when police approached the vehicle to investigate, a bomb exploded.

The wounded were taken to a local hospital, where some are reported in critical condition.

Chechen police are investigating the incident.
