Blast in Kabul kills at least 35

At least 35 people have been killed and 30 wounded in a suicide attack on a police bus in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Five foreigners are among the wounded according to the Interior Ministry.

The roof of the bus was blown off after a bomb ripped through the vehicle in a crowded area in the capital. The Taliban immediately claimed responsibility for the blast, the bloodiest attack since the U.S. led invasion began in 2001 Meanwhile, at least 14 people have been killed over the last three days in other suicide bombings in the country.
