More than 20,000 people from 11 countries across Europe traveled to Kaliningrad this weekend to mark the anniversary of the battle of Friedland. Nearly 1,000 people participated in the reconstruction of the battle.

Exactly 200 years ago, the Russian Imperial Army fought a bloody battle with Napoleon's forces in the town of Pravdinsk in the Kaliningrad region. Although Russia lost, the battle resulted in the peace treaty of Tilsit. This weekend, Pravdinsk paid a tribute to the fallen French and Russian soldiers.
