Seventy per cent of Russians favour a Victory Day Parade in Moscow involving heavy military equipment. The annual event marks the end of World War II.

According to a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VTSIOM), 23 per cent of respondents say the parade will demonstrate the military might of the country. Sixteen per cent think it's a good tradition that's worth reviving. Almost the same number believe tanks and fighter jets will make the parade more entertaining. In Moscow tens of thousands of people have already watched final rehearsals for the Victory Day Parade that will take place on Red Square on May 9. Military officials say the troops and equipment are fully prepared for the show. Watch the Victory Day Parade broadcast LIVE on Russia Today!
