The Moscow team suffered its second straight defeat, this time at the hands of Spartak Moscow.

Atlant opened with the first goal of the game, but Spartak answered with four goals and won the match 4-1. Spartak saw four different players make it onto the score sheet. Staying in the Bobrov Division, it was a one-man show in Novokuznetsk. Czech forward Milo-slav Gor-zhava netted a goal in each of the three periods to bag his first hat-trick of the season and lead Metallurg to a 3-1 win over his former team, Severstal. In the last match of the day, there was a surprise defeat for SKA, as Traktor snapped their 10-game winning streak with a 4-1 drubbing.
