People in Russia's southern republic of Ingushetia are to hold a rally against security forces later in the month. This follows a fatal shoot-out on Friday which left a 6-year-old child dead.

He died as a result of a special operation in the village of Chemulga in the east of the republic. Security forces surrounded the house, where they believed one of their most-wanted terrorists was hiding. The forces say they returned fire because shots came from the house. In the shoot-out a child was hit in the head by a bullet and fatally wounded. His mother received slight injuries in the leg. No suspect was found inside the house. Prosecutors are still investigating the incident.
