Alleged crime lord and perfume king plead not guilty

Moscow City Court has decided against releasing on bail a high profile Russian businessman, Vladimir Nekrasov, the owner of the second largest chain of perfume stores in the country. The court has postponed the hearing on the bail appeal of the other pers

The two were arrested in January and face six years in prison if found guilty. The prosecution claims they failed to pay taxes of $US 2 million. One of the arrested, Semyon Mogilevich, is on wanted lists in several countries including the U.S., where he's accused of money laundering. The other, Vladimir Nekrasov, is the owner of the Arbat Prestige chain of perfume stores. Both deny the charges. It remains to be seen if they'll be 'scent' to prison or if they'll come up smelling of roses.
