Abramovich cash stops Hiddink from quitting

But Hiddink said Abramovich has assured him he would pay the salary himself if the Football Union failed to do so. Earlier, the head of the Union confirmed Hiddink and his assistant did not receive the bonuses promised to them. He also said that each month they struggle to raise enough money to pay Hiddink’s wages. Guus Hiddink is widely supported by the fans as he led the Russian team to its biggest success since Soviet times – the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
