Air France flight from Detroit to Paris declares emergency for ‘medical reasons’

An Air France flight has requested “priority landing” on its way to Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris from Detroit, US, after reporting a medical emergency on board.

International flight monitoring social networks reported that the Boeing 777-228  declared a “general emergency” mid-flight at around 07:45am GMT on Friday. Air France later clarified that the flight had requested “priority landing” for “medical reasons.”

The aircraft landed safely in Paris at 8:16am GMT, around 40 minutes ahead of its scheduled arrival time.
