Terminal 1 of Perth Airport in Australia was briefly evacuated on Tuesday. It is not clear what caused the incident as no details have been provided so far.

On Tuesday, T1 international and domestic terminals were reopened after a brief evacuation.

“We are currently reoccupying Terminal 1. Thanks for your patience while we look after your safety,” the airport tweeted.

Some people took to social media to ask what was going on.

“So we’re about to board the plane. Now standing in the car park with the rest of Perth airport after being evacuated. Anyone know what’s going on..?” a woman wrote on Twitter.

Others were not satisfied with the actions of the security staff, calling the evacuation “pretty chaotic.”

“I have to say @PerthAirport that was a pretty chaotic #Evaluation - staff didn’t seem to know where to send anyone. Just glad it wasn’t anything serious,” Julia Poulter tweeted.
