Video site YouTube went offline today. The site’s 1 billion users had to wait a few minutes for “A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation,” according to an error message on the site.

Users of the site took to social media to express their “horror” at the outage, faced with the realization that they might have to read a book, watch TV, or, eek, go outside!

Relief was felt worldwide when the monkeys saved the day.

The cause of the outage is unknown, but RT will be following this important story.
