Two plucky Russian men have proved to be real heroes when they fearlessly jumped on the rail track in the Moscow underground to help an unconscious woman just as a train was coming toward them. All three miraculously survived without any serious injuries.

The incident took place at Krasnoselskaya Metro station in northeastern Moscow on Thursday. A 38-year-old woman who was standing on the platform suddenly fainted and fell on to the tracks. One more minute and the moving train would have ripped her to shreds.

But two men - one of them a police officer - in a split second jumped down to the track and attempted to pull the unconscious lady back on to the platform.

However, the train was moving very fast and the only way to stay alive was to place the woman between the rails and lie there with her.

Passengers at the station watched the incident with bated breath as there was a huge chance that the moving train would kill the trio.

The arriving train stopped right above their heads. Luckily, all three miraculously survived without any serious injuries, Moscow police said.
