Britain’s largest supermarket chain Tesco may soon open its first store in Russia.

The retailer has stores in emerging markets from Turkey to Malaysia, and makes 25% of its sales outside the UK. According to reports, Tesco is now studying possible store sites in Russia. If the British retailer enters the Russian market, it will compete with Russia’s largest supermarket owner X5, Germany's Metro and France's Carrefour.
