The Evraz steel group is to buy American firm Claymont Steel Holdings for $US 564 million.

Evraz will pay $US 23.50 per share for the Delaware-based metal manufacturer. That's around 19% over the market price. Claymont will become a subsidiary of Evraz once the deal is complete.
