The Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be presented at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. Russia’s major aircraft holding already has 73 orders for its new aircraft.

Sukhoi has announced plans to double demand for its Superjet 100 and managers say orders will increase after the jet is shown off on Saturday. Orders from two Russian airlines are expected to take bookings above the 100 mark. The aircraft, provided in 75 and 95-seats design, is supposed to boost local aviation. The head of Sukhoi, Mikhail Pogosyan, has announced the Superjet 100 could take 15% of the regional jet market by 2024. The holding has signed a treaty with Boeing aimed at broadening collaboration in civil aviation.
