Majority Uralkali stake changes hands

Dmitry Rybolovlev has sold a controlling 53.2% in fertilizer producer, Uralkali, for an estimated $5.2 billion.

Uralkali has confirmed that a 53.2% stake in the company formerly controlled by Rybolovlev through Madura Holding has been sold to Kaliha Finance, Aerellia Investments. and Becounioco Holdings Ltd.

The buyers paid $23 for each depositary receipt, according to Interfax, which valued the company at $9.8 billion. Kaliha Finance, owned by billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, has acquired 25 % of the company.
