Exclusive Gazprom rights to export Russian gas moved towards law when the State Duma lower house of parliament passed a bill on Wednesday confirming the company’s monopoly.
Proposed legislation says gas is a strategic resource and should be exported only by the owner of the national gas pipeline system or its fully-owned subsidiary.
