A Black Sea ferry connection has been reopened between Russia and Georgia. A ship capable of carrying a freight train will now travel between the Georgian port of Poti and the Russian port of Caucasus.
This is the first transport link between the two countries to re-open since last year.The ferry will travel twice a week and boost economic cooperation between Russia and neighbouring Central Asian countries.Air and rail connections were shut down following the arrest of Russian servicemen accused of spying by Georgia.
