EU to cut mobile roaming charges

The cost of making mobile phone calls in Europe looks set to fall substantially as the EU Parliament plans to cap roaming charges. If the measures are approved, Europeans could see the benefits from August.

The charges mobile operators add to the cost of a call made or received abroad will be regulated by the EU after complaints the current system isn't working properly.The changes still need to be approved by the member governments of the 27-nation bloc.
